Getting around on campus

Two main buildings:

Offices and Church

Although St. George’s owns almost all of the buildings in this picture, the only two buildings used by church members and visitors are the two big church and office buildings, in the lower left quadrant of this photo.

(The office building has a large lower level which you can’t see in this overhead photo.)

Inside the church building is only the church interior, plus some small rooms off the back hallway, where supplies are kept, and the ADA restroom is located.

In the office building are the church offices, a copier room and office kitchen, (from where coffee is served to people on the patio, through a window), the Lounge, the Meeting Room, and several offices rented out to practitioners offering neurodiversity support.

Four rooms to know about

Within these two large buildings, there are four rooms that you’re most likely to go into, at some point. (Besides the restrooms, which you can find out about below.)

There’s the church of course; you can see pictures of the inside on the Worship page.

The other three rooms you might go to sometimes are:

  • The Lounge — A comfy room with couches and armchairs, for social gatherings.

  • The Meeting Room (aka, Unit B) — For meetings, classes, workshops, music and art programs, etc. It has a conference table at one end, and the rest is open, flexible seating for whatever group is gathered.

  • The Nourishing Spirits Center — Kids use it most often as a big open indoor play space; adults use it as a place for large meetings and events. It has a kitchen to serve meals from, and can be divided into two rooms for smaller groups.

Outdoor spaces

The lawn in front of church is a place for play and parties, movie nights and picnics and games and all sorts of other gatherings.

The Memorial Garden is across the east parking lot from the church. Ashes are interred in the ground here, of people who have died and been cremated.

It’s a peaceful place to sit and reflect, and sometimes there are outdoor worship services held here.

The Coffee Patio is between the church and office buildings, and it’s where people go to have coffee and talk together after worship services.

Coffee is served through a window from the office kitchen, and volunteers bring baked goods to share.

The Playgrounds are at the end of the breezeway, to the right behind the office building.

There are two sand playgrounds and two asphalt.

The equipment is for 2-to-5-year-olds, since it’s from the days when St. George’s had a preschool.

All kids MUST be supervised by an adult, as required by our insurance. Adults, this means active supervision please!

Restrooms

There are three sets of restrooms on campus:

  1. Upstairs off the breezeway between the church and office buildings

  2. Downstairs near the playgrounds (usually locked on Sundays)

  3. A single unisex ADA restroom upstairs, off the back hallway to the church

The nearest restrooms to the church are across the patio, through the gate, and down the breezeway.

When you go through the black gate and walk down the breezeway, you’ll see signs for restrooms on your right, and further ahead on the left.

The signs on the right are standard restrooms; the ADA restroom is on the left.

Turn right and you’ll see the restrooms in this hallway, with the green doors.

If you need to use the ADA restroom, turn left across the breezeway.

Go through the second door on your left, and down the hallway, to the third door on your right.

The door opens into a small room, and the restroom is directly across from you.

Taking a break outside

Whenever you need a break from church, or from socializing, there are many places you can go on campus to have a moment to breathe and gather yourself.

Multiple benches and fountains are there for you, to take time to relax and peace out.

See if you can find them all!
