Going into church
When you’re ready to go into the church
Enter through either of the two glass doors under the brown wood canopy.
Just inside the doors
Stop just inside the glass doors, at the white table that’s against the stained glass partition.
From the table, please get two things: A name tag, and a bulletin.
(1) A color-coded name tag tells people your personal space needs without your having to say them:
A RED tag = Please don’t touch me.
A YELLOW tag = Please allow me to choose, by touching you first.
A GREEN tag = No problem, it’s OK to touch me.
Choose whichever color tag you’d like
Tear one tag off the roll
Write your first name on it with a marker, then
Take the backing off and throw it in the trash can below the table, and
Stick the tag to your shirt — over your heart is a good place for people to see it easily.
(2) A bulletin is letter-sized papers, stapled together — please get one of these from the white table, too.
The bulletin is like the program you get at a play. It tells you what things are going to happen in the service.
If you have trouble reading a lot of printed text that’s close together, you may borrow one of the colored plastic reading strips that are in a container beside the bulletins, to see if it helps. When you’re done using it, you can either keep it, or wipe it down with the provided wipes and return it to the container.
After you pick up a bulletin
You can continue into the church by walking around the stained glass partition on either side.
If you want to borrow any fidget toys or other helps, there’s a table with those, on the left side of the church interior.
Seat cushions for the wood chairs are under the table.
There are wobble cushions and straight ones.
(Most chairs are equipped with rubber kick bands.)
Also under the table is a basket with weighted lap blankets and comfort cushions.
On top of the table are some different kinds of fidget toys.
Help yourself.
Please use the provided wipes to wipe down whatever you’ve touched, when you return it.
You can keep the pipe cleaners.
(You can come to this table to get something any time during the service.)
